what prompted you to get involved in roller derby?

I love skating!  I will try anything on skates.  This happened to be the next sport on wheels to try.  I fell in love with it after watching my first bout in Austin, Texas. 

How did you come up with your derby name?

I like comic books and anything relating to anyone being fast.  Flash Gordon fit the pick. 

do you have a favorite derby memory

Absolutely!  The most recent was at Clover Cup.  I normally do not hear the fans and for my first time ever, I heard the Rolling Rebellion cheering me on.  It was an amazing derby first!

What’s the most rewarding aspect of playing the game?

I get to meet the most amazing people with this sport: both locally and all over.  

is there anything you are scared to try?

Sky Diving!

What position are you most comfortable playing?

I seem to fit in the jammer position well, however I love blocking.  I leave it to where I'm needed to assist my teammates and try to not hold onto a favorite position.  

What are your non-derby hobbies/activities/hidden talents?

I'm a special education teacher.  I'm great at making almost anything and a laminating queen.
