Dallas Derby Devils expands with addition of All-Star Men’s Roller Derby team
Dallas, Texas—28 MAR 2024 — The Dallas Derby Devils (DDD), the premier roller derby league in Dallas-Fort Worth, is expanding their roster of competitive women’s, open division, and junior roller derby teams with the integration of a new team, Y’allhalla, aspiring to play under the Men’s Roller Derby Association (MRDA).
“The addition of Y’allhalla to the Dallas Derby Devils league is a strategic move towards inclusivity, competitive excellence, and community growth,” said Ashley Gill, Chief Media Officer. “This initiative aligns with our mission to offer a complete and inclusive pathway for roller derby athletes of all ages, genders and skill levels.”
Y’allhalla will be featured in an Exhibition Game at the DDD home season opener on April 13, 2024, at NYTEX Sports Centre, 8851 Ice House Drive, North Richland Hills, Texas.
The DDD Team Line-up
Y’allhalla will join DDD’s existing line-up of women’s and open division All-Star teams—Army of Darkness, Battalion of Doom, Hellraisers, and Junior All-Stars. The DDD developmental pathway also includes open gender recreational home teams—Wrecking Crew, High Seas Haughties, Death Row Rumblers, and Slaughterers—as well as the junior-level Rolling Rebellion.
“Our competitive teams have showcased exceptional talent, while fostering a strong sense of community and sportsmanship. We are excited to further strengthen our league with the addition of Y’allhalla.” - Julia Williamson, Vice Chair of the Board
