What's your role in the DDD organization?

I am the Conflict Resolution Chair, an NSO, and occasional skater.

What made you decide to get involved in the volunteer aspect of DDD?

I love roller derby, and volunteering is a great way to connect with others in the community.

Did you have a favorite volunteer event from the last year?

My favorite volunteer event was the Roller Derby Storytime we hosted at the library. It was so amazing to see young kids show an interest in skating and derby!

Why did you get involved in roller derby?

I got into roller skating during the pandemic and I was inspired to try something new. I’m so grateful that I’ve made a new derby family .

What do you like to do outside of derby?

I’m really into reading (especially listening to audiobooks) and I love working on jigsaw puzzles (I’m a 20 something old lady).

What are some upcoming events derby folks (& derby fans!) can get involved with?

DDD is partnering with Tarrant Area Food Bank, and we are super excited to be collaborating with that organization! Of course there is also the annual Clover Cup, which is a can’t miss derby event!!
